Everyone knows Botox
What is Dysport?
Each time you make a facial expression, muscles beneath the skin contract due to the release of a chemical from nerve cells. When that animation is repeated many times, skin loses its ability to recover and stays creased. Dysport is a type of botulinum toxin that interrupts this chemical process. As muscles stay in a relaxed posture, lines and wrinkles in the skin have the chance to smooth out.
Dysport differs from Botox in the potency of trace proteins and diffusion into skin tissues. Basically, an improvement from Dysport may be evident sooner, but Botox may last a bit longer. Fortunately, at Associates in Dermatology, you don’t have to choose. Our injectors are experienced in combination protocols, using the most appropriate product in the right dosage, for the area of injection.
