Bodies in Westlake, OH look trim and toned with CoolSculpting

Most people have stubborn fat deposits they would like to be rid of. Yet the downtime of surgical liposuction does not fit into every schedule. Noninvasive CoolSculpting can be a good alternative. This innovative method of freezing body fat is available at Associates in Dermatology offices in Westlake, Middleburg Heights,  and Lorain, OH.

Common questions about CoolSculpting

What is CoolSculpting?

The scientific basis is cryolipolysis – a means to freeze fat away. Temperature is reduced to a level that crystalizes targeted fat cells without freezing the H2O component of skin and other organs. Treated fat cells die and are harmlessly flushed by the body’s natural processes.

Is CoolSculpting safe?

FDA-approved CoolSculpting is very safe. Treatment is drug-free, with no risk of secondary infection. Side effects such as redness, bruising, tenderness, or numbness are typically mild and temporary.

What areas can be treated with this fat freezing procedure?

CoolSculpting can be performed on submental (double chin) and submandibular (under the jawline) fat, upper arms, bra fat, back fat, abdomen, flanks, buttocks (including banana roll underneath), and thighs (inner and outer).

What are typical Coolsculpting results?

Patients can expect up to a 25 percent reduction in fat in the treated area. The procedure can be repeated for further reduction.

Where can CoolSculpting reviews be found?

You can hear real patients’ stories at www.coolsculpting.com/before-and-after/reviews/, read an in-depth review at www.rd.com/health/beauty/coolsculpting-review/, or check consumer review sites such as RealSelf.

The CoolSculpting procedure in Westlake, OH

Treatment is non-traumatic. Simply sit or lie back and relax; nap, catch up on phone calls, watch television, or surf the internet. A session takes 35 minutes to an hour, depending on the area of the body.

For larger areas, the tissue is pulled into the cooling device with gentle suction. The applicator for small areas does not require this step. Then the tissue is cooled. You feel a brief but intensely cold sensation. When cooling is complete, tissues feel solid, like cold butter (that is how you know cryolipolysis has occurred). The clinician massages the area, and you are free to return to work or other activities.

You will begin to see the change in one to three months, as fat cells are eliminated from the body, with continued improvement up to about six months.
